DAY 5
"We'll see fields of sugarcane flank the road
from Mackay, site of the world's largest sugar handling facility. At the end of
the day we'll be able to see the crystal blue waters of
the Whitsundays. camping at Airlie Beach"
Driving day again.
We arrived to Airlie Beach in the afternoon, and we had time to spend in town before setting up tents. Our camping site was quite far from the town, so we spent rest of the time in the camp. And one more thing; there's no beach in Airlie Beach. Makes sense, aye?
And if you don't have a beach, you'll build a massive swimming pool looking like beach in the middle of the city. I seriously wonder who invented this place. :D
